Eldora Mountain
20 minutes
Small, close, and rarely a lift line on a weekday. The road is plowed early but it's a mountain road — bring the right tyres.
A quiet two-bedroom above the aspens at 8,200 feet. Wood stove, hot tub on the deck, and internet fast enough to actually work from.
Shot in ordinary light on an ordinary day. What you see is what you get.
1,150 square feet on two floors. The loft is up a real staircase, not a ladder.
Wood stove with a full rack of split aspen on the porch, a couch that two people can lie on, and windows facing the Divide. No television — there is a projector and a screen in the closet if you want one.
Gas range, full-size fridge, dishwasher. Sharp knives, a cast iron skillet, a stock pot big enough for chili for eight. Coffee: grinder, French press, and a drip machine, plus a bag of beans from the roaster in town.
King bed, ensuite bath with a walk-in shower and heated floor. Blackout curtains. Ground floor, so no stairs if that matters to anyone in your group.
Two twin beds downstairs. Up the stairs, the loft has a queen sleeper sofa and the desk — a monitor, a decent chair, and a wired ethernet drop for anyone who has to take a call.
Everything below is included. There is no resort fee and no cleaning surprise at checkout.
Booking direct is 12–15% cheaper than the same dates on a platform. That difference is the platform's cut, not ours.
| Season | Nightly | Weekly | Minimum stay |
|---|---|---|---|
| Winter (Dec–Mar) | $340 | $2,050 | 3 nights |
| Spring (Apr–May) | $225 | $1,350 | 2 nights |
| Summer (Jun–Aug) | $310 | $1,890 | 3 nights |
| Autumn (Sep–Nov) | $265 | $1,590 | 2 nights |
| Holidays | $425 | $2,800 | 5 nights |
Drive times from the front door, in decent weather.

35 minutes
Alpine lakes, a flat loop anyone can walk, and harder trails past it. Get a timed-entry permit in summer or you will be turned around.
8 minutes
Groceries, a good bakery, two breweries, and the carousel. Enough to restock without driving down the canyon.
40 minutes down the canyon
Restaurants, Pearl Street, and the nearest big grocery. The canyon drive is beautiful and slow — allow more time than the map says after dark.

"Worked from the loft all week and never once had a call drop. That is not a thing I expected at 8,200 feet. The wood stove is the real deal — we barely turned the heat on."
"Booked direct after finding the place on a platform and saved about $200 on the week. Same house, same owner, faster replies. The hot tub after a day at Eldora is worth the trip on its own."
"Two kids, one dog, and everyone had a bed. Kitchen had every single thing I reached for. Owner texted back within ten minutes when we couldn't work the stove damper."
Everything worth knowing before you book, not after.
Check-in from 4pm, check-out by 10am. Self check-in with a smart lock — you'll get the code the morning of arrival. Early check-in and late check-out are usually fine if nobody is booked either side; just ask.
The road is county-maintained and plowed, but it is steep for the last half mile. All-wheel drive with real winter or all-terrain tyres is strongly recommended December through March. A two-wheel-drive sedan on all-seasons will struggle after a storm.
The loft sits at 8,200 feet. Most people are fine, but if you're flying in from sea level, take the first day easy, drink more water than feels necessary, and skip the hot tub until you've acclimatised a bit.
One dog, $60 for the stay. Not on the furniture, not left alone in the house, and please pick up in the yard. Wildlife is real here — keep them leashed outside.
No. Six guests is the limit, day visitors need to be cleared first, and quiet hours are 10pm to 7am. The neighbours are close and they call. Events and gatherings are not permitted.
Full refund up to 30 days before check-in. Between 30 and 14 days, 50%. Inside 14 days the booking is non-refundable — we'd rebook the dates if we can and refund what we recover. Travel insurance is worth it for winter trips.
Same house, same host, 12–15% cheaper because there's no platform service fee. You also get a phone number instead of a message thread. We're listed on the big platforms too if you'd rather book that way.
Availability is live. If your dates are open you can book them right now.
December through March fills six to eight weeks ahead, and holiday weeks go by September. If you know your dates, take them.
