Who we are
Short bio
Neon Prairie is a four-piece from Denver playing country music at rock volume. Formed in 2019 out of the wreckage of three other bands, they've put out three records and played most of the rooms between here and the coast. Their latest, Dust and Diesel, was recorded live to tape in four days.
Long bio
The band started because Sam and Dolores were the only two people who showed up to a Tuesday night jam at a bar on Colfax that has since closed. They played the same six songs for a year before anyone else joined.
What came out the other side is louder than country radio and slower than the punk records they all grew up on. Pedal steel through a fuzz pedal. Songs about driving, mostly.
