The Back Room
Seats 14 · minimum spend $900
Separated from the dining room by a curtain. Works for a birthday, a rehearsal dinner, or a company thing that isn't too big. Available any service night.
A small kitchen built around a wood fire. The menu changes when the produce does, which is to say often. Dinner Wednesday through Sunday.
Kitchen closes at 10, the bar stays open an hour later Friday and Saturday.
No filters, no stock photography. This is what it looks like.
We opened in a former machine shop in 2019 with sixteen seats, one oven, and a menu written on a chalkboard because we couldn't afford to print one. The chalkboard stayed.
The cooking is simple on purpose. Good ingredients, a hot fire, and salt. We buy from four farms within an hour's drive, which is why the menu changes so often — we cook what they bring.
The room is small and it gets loud. That's not an accident either.
We do about two private events a month, usually Mondays and Tuesdays when we're otherwise closed.

Family-style trays from the fire menu, delivered or dropped. We don't staff off-site events, but we'll tell you who does it well around here.
Book online any time, or call between 3pm and close.
Up to six online. Seven or more, email us — we can usually do it, but not on a Friday or Saturday at seven.
No. Wear what you like.
Yes, tell us when you book and remind your server. The kitchen is small and handles gluten, nuts, and shellfish, so we can't promise zero cross-contact — we'll be straight with you about what's safe.
Early, yes. We don't have a kids' menu but we'll happily do a plain chicken and potatoes. After 8pm the room gets loud and it stops being fun for them.
Reservations open 30 days ahead at 9am and the prime times go the same morning. Midweek is easy, and honestly it's the better meal.
